Passionflower Tea with LAVENDER in 4 Easy Steps

Prep time: 5-10 minutes

Total time: 15-20 minutes

This tea will help you fall soundly to sleep without concern. Passionflower is known to promote sleep, dream retention, and general relaxation. Personally, when I am feeling stressed and tense, passionflower tea makes me smile and feel a bit gelatinous. It’s good stuff! Lavender is a popular flower used in aromatherapy, and is also known to help people relax through both smell and ingestion. You can read up more on passionflower here, and more on lavender here.

This tea should not be consumed by pregnant people.

Recipe for Passionflower Lavender Tea:

Ingredients

  • Passionflower (1 tsp or 5 mL)
  • Lavender buds (1/3 tsp or 1.64 mL)
  • Water (10 fl oz or 296 mL)

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Mug
  • Tea mesh, sieve, bag, or cheesecloth
  • Cover for mug, such as a saucer (optional)

Steps

  1. Put the water in the kettle and set it to boil.
  2. Put the passionflower and the lavender in your chosen tea strainer, and place that into your mug.
  3. When the water boils, pour it into the mug with the plant matter. Optionally, you can cover the mug with something like a saucer or small plate to prevent heat from escaping.
  4. Allow the tea to steep for 10 minutes.

That’s it, so simple! I hope this is truly helpful and beneficial to you, and I’m wishing you a good night’s sleep.
